Pappy spelled it as two words.
Colonel Gregory "Pappy" Boyington, USMC, (December 4, 1912 - January 11, 1988) was an American fighter ace. Boyington flew initially with the American Volunteer Group ("The Flying Tigers") in the Republic of China Air Force during the Second Sino-Japanese War. He later commanded the famous U.S. Marine Corps squadron, VMF-214 ("The Black Sheep Squadron") during World War II. Boyington became a prisoner of war later in the war. For his U.S. Marine Corps service he was awarded the Navy Cross and the Medal of Honor.

With my military background as well as my law enforcement background I would reverse the flag on the shoulder (the translation is that stars lead the way)

Not sure what a military background (which I also had for a limited time) or a law enforcement background (which I guess you could say I had for 16 years; kind of), is relevant in knowing how to display a flag. Not sure what you mean by "stars lead the way," but here is information on now to display a flag.
Whether or not the stars lead or do not lead the way, is irrelevant. The flag should be shown according to etiquette; irregardless of the stars leading the way.
Look it up, whenever the US flag is displayed in a manner other than being flown from a staff, the union must be to the flag's right, or in other words to the observer's left. (The union, in case you didn't know, is the blue field.) The US flag shown on the arm is displayed correctly.
I'm sure if you do an Internet search, you will find this is correct.

U.S. Flag Reversed Patch
Have you wondered why the American Flag patches are displayed on the U.S. Army uniform? Does it look like someone got in a hurry and put it on the right shoulder sleeve backwards? Well, here is the official scoop.
In Plain English: The regulation states that when authorized for application to the proper uniform the American flag patch is to be worn, right or left shoulder, so that "the star field faces forward, or to the flag's own right. When worn in this manner, the flag is facing to the observer's right, and gives the effect of the flag flying in the breeze as the wearer moves forward. The appropriate replica for the right shoulder sleeve is identified as the 'reverse side flag'." Army Regulation 670-1, "Wear and Appearance of Army Uniforms and Insignia," updated most recently September 5, 2003, addresses explicitly the proper and lawful placement of the U.S. flag patch on the Army uniform.
Wear of full-color U.S. flag cloth replica:
a. General. All soldiers throughout the Force, regardless of deployment status, will wear the full-color U.S. flag cloth replica on utility and organizational uniforms.
b. Description. The colors of the U.S. flag cloth replica are red, white, and blue. The size is approximately 2 inches by 3 inches.
c. How worn.
When approved for wear, the full-color U.S. flag cloth replica is sewn 1/2 inch below the right shoulder seam of the temperate, hot-weather, enhanced hot-weather, and desert BDU; the BDU field jacket; and the cold-weather uniform. If the SSI?FWTS is worn on the right shoulder of the utility uniform, the full-color U.S. flag cloth replica is placed 1/8 inch below the right shoulder sleeve insignia. The SSI?FWTS is not authorized for wear on organizational uniforms, unless indicated above.
The full-color U.S. flag cloth replica is worn so that the star field faces forward, or to the flag?s own right. When worn in this manner, the flag is facing to the observer?s right, and gives the effect of the flag flying in the breeze as the wearer moves forward. Guess I was wrong and going with being displayed on a wall. When I was in the service, we didn't wear the flag. I guess the Viet Cong knew who was who.
This is what I was basing my comment on...which evidently is incorrect.
When the flag is displayed in a manner other than by being flown from a staff, it should be displayed flat, whether indoors or out. When displayed either horizontally or vertically against a wall, the union should be uppermost and to the flag's own right; that is, to the observer's left. When displayed in a window, it should be displayed in the same way; that is, with the union or blue field to the left of the observer in the street. When festoons, rosettes or drapings are desired, bunting of blue, white and red should be used, but never the flag.
But I would not say a group of Hummer owners meets you description of a military unit...so quite your bitchen.
Why don't we just remove the dang thing...Don't we have people who are not US citizens?

The way I undersand, Black sheep is a derogatory colloquialism in the English language meaning an outsider or one who is different in a way which others disapprove of or find odd. Basically a separatist.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLYING DECALS
APPLICATION USING WET TRANSFER METHOD
The surface must be clean and free from oils, waxes and dirt in order for the decal to adhere properly. Mix a solution of water, and dish soap (a few drops to a gallon of water). Use a spray bottle and wet the area where decal will be applied. When the decal is in its final location use a small squeegee to squeeze the water and detergent solution out from under the decal. Allow 1-5 minutes drying time. Allow plenty of drying time because if solution remains under the decal. If there are any air bubbles under the decal that cannot be worked out to the edge, use a small pin to puncture the bubble and remove the air.

Why would anyone object to a club that wheels their trucks, accepts anybody, has no rules, no administration, no direction, and no fees?
The problem isn't with the club, it is with anyone that isn't even involved with it and lets it bother them. Are there control issues here? ;) Have we not given the elders the proper respect?
