View Full Version : Going tomorrow to try to buy my H3

Well,
I have waited long enough and GM finally came through with the right incentives. I am going to the local Hummer Dealer in the morning to try to work a deal on a 07 Lux/adventure/fully loaded Black H3. When they threw in the 60 month zero interest, it was too good to ignore.

I figure the savings at about $12K ($6k interest, $2K rebates, $4K price reductions GMPP)

Only wildcard should be the trade of my 1995 Jeep Cherokee, so we will see how it goes.

I was waiting for the Alpha, but with the $12K in savings combined with the probably upcharge of $5K for the Alpha, I decided the V8 just is not worth $17K !

I will let you know how it goes...The one BIG thing I have in my favor is that their current inventory has been sitting there for 3 months with almost no movement....Should be a smooth deal.

Wish me luck !

expect nothing more then actual value for the heap. with all the discounts they have a total profit of 1-3 grand which the sales dept. sees only 20% of.

Hey USETOSELL
How much do you think he should pay for a LUX/ADV loaded h3? The reason I ask is that I am also looking to purchase the same and was hoping to pay close to invoice. Thanks!! GOOD LUCK SNAPPY!!! Hope you enjoy it too!! Let us know how it goes.

Good luck, the 95 JCC is worth some petty cash at best. Sounds like the incentives are very substantial.

Hey, congrats.

Newbie here. We're seriously looking into buying a Slate Blue. The only rebate we were offered is the free "sunroof" one at $950. I saw someplace online there was a $500 Conquest Cash if you had a non-GM vehicle. What other rebates are you getting?

Thanks and hope you come home with your new 3!

I just got home with it, so I will try to get some pictures up sometime this week

I was suprised, they gave me $1,950 in trade. According to edmunds.com, the trade was worth only $1,175. I was not really expecting anything more, but it worked out well. The jeep was a little ratty, but everything worked and it never let me down.

If you STOP and read what i wrote you would understand.

I understand i didn't add an "AT-A-BOY"

If you ANALize what I wrote and what you paid it seems you got a good (fair) deal...

ALSO, please read several of my posts... YOU will see I help people some, JOKE around a LOT and for the most part I am almost NEVER NEGATIVE or demeaning to anyone....

Sorry,
I still don't get your post, but I will thank you for the complement. Is the price you quoted the real dealer cost or an employee cost or something?

All and all, I was satisfied. I could have played the poker game and left to try to get a few hundred more off, but in the end, it would not have impacted the monthly price that much.

Had the front two windows tinted to 20% today at lunch....SMOKE'N !! :excited:

To the best of my knowledge that is factory invoice...(what the dealer pays)

BUT

Don't feel sorry for the dealer. He still makes 3% of the LIST back form GM in what is called HOLD BACK. I believe it is issued to dealers either 2 or 4 times a year. My personal feeling is if you can buy at invoice you have made a good deal. DEALERS, or STEALERS as some people call them still have to make a profit so that they will be around to support service to you truck.

Where you have to be careful is with DEALER ADD ONS. Those are HIGH MARK UP PROFIT CENTERS for the dealer. Now factory steps (rails) are put on by the dealer but priced by GM so thats not what i'm refering to. examples: spare tire cover, window vents, special paint (most anything that DOES NOT carry a GM ITEM ORDER CODE)

This info is available at a few web sites:

www.kbb.com (http://www.kbb.com)
www.nada.com (http://www.nada.com)

and a few others...just read them carefully to gleam the knowledge.
