Hi everyone.

We're seriously considering purchasing a Slate Blue H3, but I don't know how good the deal is. I hope this is an OK thing to post here.

We're getting the base with auto, sunroof, XM, black sidesteps, and the trailer pkg.

The dealer is giving us "GM SUPPLIER FOR FRIENDS PRICING" at $31,550.

He said that we couldn't use our GM card savings (somewhere from $250 to $555) with the pricing. Is that true?

We got the $950 "sunroof" rebate and 0%. Should we be getting any other rebates - conquest cash?

The dealer offers the extended maintenance plan at $860 to 4yr/60k... is that a fairly comparable price ?

Thanks for your input.

That doesn't sound right. I would think it would be closer to $28-29k. I'm not sure why they would just give you the GMS discount. They are required to show you the invoice or the breakdown with that discount... so make sure you get it or they are just messing with you.

As for maintenance plans... I don't really think you need them. For some reason my H3 with maintenance plan cost more to get an oil change than my H2 with no maintenance plan.

Yeah - I agree, that sounds pretty high. Should be more in the $29K range.
Good luck with the purchase!

Base 07 H-3 w/FREE sunroof, auto tranny, XM System, FLAT Black Steps (tube steps are higher price) & Trailer Pkg (w/o adapter) including destination chgs

$ 30094.80

now that does not include tax, title, tag, miltary discount, any other discount except free sunroof or if your dealer is part of a advertising coop (additional)

yea guys tax is like $5k. anywho, from the research i did when i bought my h3, you should get yours well under the sticker price. try more than 1 dealer. Some are "friendlier" than others. Hell I tried 18 dealers. Georgia-4,SC-1,NC-2,MD-1,NY-5,NJ-5....and then back to SC, where i ultimatly settled!

The rebate comes off later in the deal, post-taxes. So our price including the rebate is $30,600. It's the tubular black side steps, and the trailer pkg is about $390, so I think it includes the adapter. So I guess the price isn't too terrible...

I assumed we were talking about a price pre-tax. :shhh:
Yep, I'm not counting tax, tag, docs, licensure, etc.

Thank so much for all for your help. Does anyone know if you can use GM card points with supplier pricing?

Not right, with GM Supplier you get all incentives. If you choose 0% you loose the rebate. You get any conquest etc. Ask to see the invoice and for them to show you the GM Supplier line on it.

ChiHummer3
05-29-2007, 07:27 PM
It's the tubular black side steps, and the trailer pkg is about $390, so I think it includes the adapter.

FYI - the $390 will get you the trailer harness and hitch only....if you want the adapter and hitch cover, etc you have to get the "trailering convenience package" and that will run you an additional $109.50 (invoice) or $150.00 (MSRP).

From what I figured, with what you had listed - base, auto, sunroof, XM, steps, trailer - with TUBULAR steps and the "free" sunroof, the invoice price would be $30149.55......if you want the trailer adapter your grand total comes to $30259.05 (invoice).

ChiHummer3
05-29-2007, 07:33 PM
I made the mistake of assuming the adapter came with in the $390 trailering package. Silly me! :shhh:

Had to go track down an adapter after the fact. Incidentally - I think the adapter only ran me like $30 or so (online)......so if you don't need the 12v power outlet and hitch cover - save you money on that "convenience package" from the dealership. I didn't need the power outlet and thought the rubber hitch cover was kind of ghey anyway. Got myself a nice billet H3 cover off of eBay for around $30.

There is a special running currently that if there's a sunroof on the vehicle YOU GET IT FOR FREE!

We really appreciate your help and input.

We made the mistake of freaking when our current insurance company told us that the rate would be some 2.5x what it is now to add the H3. The dealer had said there would be no difference in price, so we were shocked. Things were happening fast, so we backed out for a bit.

We've now called other insurance companies that aren't Hummer Haters and the rate will be fine

The vehicle hasn't arrived at the dealership yet, so we should still be able to get back into it since the price seems fair...

Thanks again.

We still really want those heated, leather seats, but couldn't get past paying for the 6CD, Monsoon, etc. Plus, all the H3s with leather at our dealership are all chromed up to $39k or so. It was hard to say the leather was worth $5k.

Well it came in yesterday afternoon, we felt like it would be rushing it for yesterday evening. Then we decided that since we're so busy during the week it would be more fun to get it Saturday AM.

So while we're waiting - is it really that easy to put on the underbody protection ladders? We're thinking about doing that ourselves soon.

What about the roof marker lights? Is it worth paying the dealer to install?

Thanks.
