Well, I was in San Antonio this past week for a firearms instructor conference when my H2 took a giant dump. Trans and transfer case. I took it in to Ken Batch hummer and they gave me a new H3 to drive as a loaner. This was on Monday. On Wed. the service people called and gave me the bad news, 5200.00 bucks to fix the OUT OF WARR. H2!!!! WOW I thought, how am I going to get home? Well, I talked to a sales guy just to see what, if anything, could be done. On Friday he called me to say if I stuck with a Hummer AND GMAC he could get me into the new H3 I was driving! Low and behold they let me drive it home, Houston TX. area, and he came out to my house today and I signed the paperwork! Lets see, NO 5200.00 out of pocket, NO money down, 100,000 mile warr, on a new H3 and, half the gas....HHMMMMM........I think I got a dream deal given the situation! Its black with locker. I will post pics after i get some of my mods on this week....

Kinda late, but how much out of warranty was it? Did you call GM about it to see if they'd help? I've had failures out of warranty and GM covered all or more than half of it in a good faith deal. I'm thinkin' your dealer made out on the deal.

I'd like to know the mileage of the H2 as well. I hope this is not something us H3 owners have to look forward to, I'm counting on my H3 for a lot of miles..
