Oddest thing happened the other day. My insturment cluster stopped working, got about a half mile from my house around dusk and first thought the back light had gone out. I then realized that nothing was working, tach, speedo..etc. Hit the turn signal just a tad and everything came on including idiot lights, which stayed on briefly then went off except for battery light. Pulled over and restarted car and that went off. No problems since.
Just thought I would post to see if anyone else ever had this problem or let someone else know it happened to me if they had the problem

Sounds spooooky, maybe your car is haunted, people say there houses are, you should be the firs to claim your car is!!! haha anyway, havent heard of this issues, before but good to know that the restart worked incase it happens. Keep us posted if you find out what it is, did you call your dealer to ask?

There was a change done to the cluster software in January of 2007. The problem was that at a precise time that when started that the gauges would freeze. Only happened if a certain events happened at once. Not all 2007 clusters were redone.
My instrument cluster stopped working multiple times. took it to the dealer and they replaced it with a new one. has worked fine ever since

Happened to me one morning until I made a turn and used the turn singal. Everything came back on after that. Only happened once.

Also could be a problem with a loose connector at the back of the cluster. Not uncommon. You can pull the cluster trim panel off, by just pulling it back. Then remove the four screws holding in the cluster and check that the connector is seated correctly. Or, take it to the dealer.

The exact same thing happened to me today. I am using a loaner pcm from pcmforless and I thought it was something associated with that. I left work and was driving on the highway and looked down to see how fast I was going and I was going '0'. Then I noticed nothing was working but the truck was driving fine. So I kept going and had to switch lanes, when I turned the signal on, everything came back to life and the battery light stayed on. I got to where I was going and left the truck, when I came back it worked and the battery light was off. I guess when I go back for my first oil change I'll have them look at it.
