Hello to all H3 owners around - new member here, I bought my H3 in April 07, very nice vehicle; may not be the most practical car around for daily driving, but surely it is the coolest one. I've been checking out these forums for various info every once a while, figured it's time to register; I'm glad to see so many proud H3 owners, I wasn't sure if did the right thing to buy Hummer, I guess I did afterall.

Welcome.
after 18K miles, I have averaged 18+mpg. Mostly highway. I think its practical for a 4WD truck. Im happy.

Dave - Enjoy the new H3. Who cares if it's not the most practical choice. At least it's very unique. Congrats!

Thanks for your replies, here are pics of my H3 shot this morning. I really like how the car handles, the lower center of gravity is nice improvement over my previous SUV.

I usually don't like the low profile tires, but that's just the right combo :beerchug:

Thanks for your kind comments guys; I got this H3 already set with the options from the dealership (step bars, tires..); it was a spontaneous buy - we went to check out a different car, not even to buy anything ..oh well, I surely like it but after some time I realized that I would've probably preferred standard plain trim and even manual transmission; I like the black though and the low profile tires work great on the road. I may get rid of the stepbars (but wife likes them, easier for her to climb-in I guess) and buy different tires, more suitable for off-road vehicle; however car is nice as is - at least I can change these things anytime.

Add some selective bling. What are those wheels and tires?

..tires are Vogue 305/50R20 120H, on Vogue wheels - I'm not sure about exact part number of those, I'll ask the dealer for documentation about them when I'll go for maintenance/oil change, I didn't get any paperwork about these tires or wheels. They came inflated to about 32psi (as standard tires I guess?) and where quite squeaky on the front in sharper turns, so I raised to about 36psi and it seems better, I have no data for recommended pressure on these tires either - max pressure is marked 50psi (on the sidewall).

I added heavy duty rubber floormats & cargo mat (orig. GM parts), and also got that spare tire cover from Somo to replace the one that originally came with the vehicle and had dealer's logo/name on it. I may order a roofrack at some point, it comes handy every once a while, I always had roofracks on my SUV's.

Offroad the H3 is hard to beat & I went everywhere with mine. I see where H3s took the top five spots in the Davis Trail Offroad Race in Tennessee this weekend.
