Me and Stryker SGT hit some good off road trails yesterday. As you can great fun, ran into another hummer up in Hillsville, but the driver was off somewhere in the woods.
We ran Hillsville than Stryker Sgt took us to the Acid Ponds, where we had a close call.
He drove up a hill, looked like he was going to make it, but than started to come back down. I was headed up, than through my rig into reverse reaaalll quick.

Cool vids, love the mud!
Hey Metal, you get those frame plates welded on OK? I put mine to a good test this past weekend, held up fine!

Didn't ask, didn't get them.
I am kind fussy about fab issues to be honest.
As you noticed, from your ride in, and pulling out, there were some issues to be addressed.
Great winch deck, no doubt, I have made a couple mods after seeing my bumper pull like string cheese. As you know, your original design left to much out there.
Not sure about adding your frame plates, I could have been on the rag when that issue was addressed.
Instead of a fuss, I added several mods that made the winch deck more functional to my needs. Thus after you pulling out those Hummers in Moab. If you remeber, I got my deck while you were on your way out.
I got mine and mentioned the forward pull during my tests. Thus while you were in MOAB. I know you didn't understand what I was explaining, and thought I had mounted it wrong.
I am sure when you pulled those folks out, reading your post, than seeing you address the same issue, you understood what I was talking about.
Using your deck, I cut the bottom off. I extended the bottom and have added four 90' brackets, two for each side of the frame.
Instead of adding the winch weight to the deck, I have added it to the frame.

We are Hummer owners, we drove our rides like they were designed to, in the mud off road. We did it like pros, no stupid people were around.
I have pucker hill, you have kelleys hill. No doubt nasty in their own way.
Who cried?
