I love everything about it. I want to build another one...with a chevy in it this time. That boat anchor of a motor (345ci) leaked like a pig, and I never could fix it. 400 small block would be nice.

I love the smell of burning 90 wt oil in the morning:)
They look like great rigs
It's nice to have a rig you can actually work on with out all the electronic controls, buttons and lights

The heart of the matter..
Hey is that a true SSII Scout, or did you just buy the fiberglass door inserts?

It started life as a 1973 Scout 11. It was made to look like an SS. Those are actual doors, they do open, if needs be.
400hp Doctored Police Intercepter short block chevy 350
Th350 worked beyond belief.
Even as we speak, I am putting in a triple stick Atlas 4 speed transfer case
There has been so much done, I couldn't even start to write it down.
I do class 4+ trails, hence the rock rash
I am not scared to use it, although it is a good looking truck.
I will be in MOAB Sept 5th thru 11th wheeling
Cost so far $35,000 ($12,000) as far as my wife is concerned) shhhhh
800 cases of beer, 1000 hilarious stories with buddy's building it, 250 pizza's,
48 NFL games watched in the garage, 25 tubs of Orange hand cleaner, 2 ounces of skin from the knuckles, 1 cracked rib, 1 bleeding forehead that was stopped with gasket sealer (that really impressed the wife) and best of all, time spent with the boys and my pals..

Beautiful! 60% mark down in value for the wife! BWAAHAHAHA! I thought I was the only one. Its crazy how us married guys think alike. Its almost like instinct to give those numbers. :giggling:

That UPS driver thing is pretty funny actually. He was excited to see the truck in the build mode, being as he delivered half of it. He would always want to come in the garage and see how it was going.
