When I am at freeway speeds (65mph+), my driver side mirror shimmies. Has anyone else noticed this happen with their H3? I'll tell the service writer next time I'm at the dealer for service.

Mine does it too. Not just the glass though the whole mirror. Service said that there was an impact to the mirror and it would cost me $395 to fix it. I just ended up jamming some rubber shims in the bottom and it fixed it.
The other weird thing I noticed is that our mirrirs ('06) dont seem to fold in? Am I just a f-tard or is that the facts?

They fold in... :twak: :D ;) use 2 hands at opposite sides and give a yank.
Also I put some wd-40 on the pivit at oil change(also do the same to door handles, key holes and other lub points I use white lithium spray)

fourfourto, it's the glass/mirror part that shimmies, not the entire unit. It's very annoying because your vision is out of focus when you're trying to look at the mirror at 65+ mph. It only began about a month ago.

I think I was faded when I tried to fold them. F-tard I'll proudly be.

They replaced my original driver side mirror with one that the glass shakes on my 06. Then ordered several spares. All of which the glass shakes. They all went to the regional managers desk as a manufacturing defect. That was about 2 weeks ago.
When they get some good ones in I'm on the list to be replaced.

My mirror (only the glass) shakes too. I noticed it the day I drove it off the dealer's lot (with 20 miles on the car). Went back the next week to get it swopped. No difference after the swop  - I was thinking they pulled a fast one on me  (as in they didn't do anything and just told me they made the replacement) -- but it did look a tad bit cleaner...

Maybe I'll just leave it alone since some of you have had it replaced without showing a difference.

Thats seems to be the way it is concerning getting something fixed at the dealer under warranty. You have to bug the piss out of them, make threats, and scream and yell if you want it done right. You get so annoyed you get to the point where you just say F-it and never fix it. I think they know that and thats their plan. I bet when the warranty runs out you can anything you want fixed right away and done right the first time in a reasonable time frame for the cost of a small fortune and your first borns soul. Not just Hummer, my Audi dealer is the same way. :fdance:

I hear ya, stagger! Except they didn't know who they were dealing with they 'thought' I accepted their reasoning for my brake groan .. and I went to GM and got all that I had wanted and more. ;)
