The underneath of my 05 looks like it came from New Orleans. (it didn't. I bought it new)
Anybody else have that problem??
I took it to the dealer and he told me it was not covered as their is indication that I have been OFF-ROAD. BUT for only $500.00 they would get rid of the rust and undercoat it. After listening to me carry on for a 1/2 hour he scheduled a meeting with a Hummer rep.
Any suggetions/experience with rust. (I'm not just talking a litle)

my 06 and my fathers 06 both were rusty underneath. Basically it seems that the frame and under carriage tend to rust. Its surface rust so its nothing to be worried about. Just doesnt look that great. You can always paint it.
I am sure my 08 will look the same once it goes thru the coming winter.

I don't think there's a single H2 out there without rust. This was a huge topic when the 03s first came out - trucks off the lot all had them. A lot of people just sprayed coating over it to cover it up. It's ugly, but I don't think it's doing much damage. I know on mine, in addition to the undercarriage, I have quite a bit in my glovebox and under the foot pedals.

I have an 03 and it has NO RUST under it what so ever. I think it was aftermarket undercoted. Its all flat black and looks to be some kind of rubbery type of paint.

To my pleasant suprise my dealer got the factory to pay for a complete Ziebart undercoating. They applied some kind of rust eliminator and then applied rustproofing EVERYWHERE. The cost was only about $350.00 but still shocked me.:perfect10s: :perfect10s:

I think.
Could be mud from Moab still.

Mine doesn't.:D
I spend 4 hours once a year cleaning and spraying ruberized under coating to my belly. Just did it last month. Mine looks like a beat up H2 with a brand new underbelly.

2005 on the shores of Jersey and no rust, even with very frequent beach trips.
Might be bad though. Maybe we have acid air that kills the rust.
