What is the real world MPG for mostly city use?
I have a Durango now and it gets only 12.3 MPG.

Getting 12.8 city 1400 miles. It got 17.9 hwy on the way home from Plano.

It all really depends on how you drive, starts and stops, etc.
I have got as low as 10 but that is starting drving a mile parking for hours - starting drive another mile home park for hours.
I think 14 is about average from what I have seen and experienced.

Mine is all local, non highway,fast and stop and go, and I get 13.8

city, traffic light every mile, and stop at every other light, between lights 45-50 mph...last tank, 14.56 mpg

Mileage will improve as your engine breaks in I found. With 24,000 miles I averaged 18.47 mpg on a 6,852 mile trip and although I don't do much city driving, the lowest I have seen in the last 8,000 miles is 14.86 mpg with A LOT of offroad in low range.

I only have 1100 miles on mine, but I have been averaging 16.8mpg

same here... i just did a 400 mile trip on saturday and was getting 16 mpg with 5 people in my rig going up and over 2 passes twice

I do about 50/50 city/highway and get high 16s.

First tank of gas 15.8 driving 80 down the interstate..second tank 16.8 Interstate and rural roads..third tank 16.8 Interstate and rural roads..on the forth tank now and have installed a throttle body spacer, it may be a waste of money, but I figure if it helps at all it will pay for it self quickly and as the vechicle is not thru break in I am hoping the milage will improve a bit.

I have an 18 mile commute to/from work which generally takes me about 45 minutes to an hour. Basically, a lot of stop and go driving. Last week this was the only driving that I did other than short trips to the bar, grocery store, ect. I got 15.31 MPG and would generally say I'm in the 15-15.5 MPG range.

Could be I'm just really easy on the throttle but my automatic trans is averaging 18.3 in a variety of conditions after 8,000 miles. I just drove from RI to Maine towing two motorcycles (about 1700 lbs. total) on the highway at 65-70 and averaged 16.8 mpg.
By comparison my H2 averaged 12.8 after 24000 miles.

Now I am really jacked...... I am reaching 2000 miles on the odometer
I just filled my tank and measured my MPG .. I have been getting approx 11.5 MPG in ONLY city traffic.. that is Driving from Hollywood to Studio City and back again..

I just got mine a month ago, and have been getting around 16-16.5 mpg in the city... I think that the H3 is pretty good on gas compared to the other Hummers, but dont understand why all the reviews have been trashing the mpg on the new H3
