I have a lux edition h2 and i would like to install the factory oem air compressor in the original factory location.
i think it goes under the right rear back panel,
after the compressor what other parts would be needed?
has anyone already done this install?
is it a plug and play install or do i need to splice wires?
i see the factory unit has a factory wire harness, is the conector to this harness already there?
any help and advise would be appreciated.
Thanks:p

It will never be factory, no matter how hard you try. Best bet is to install an aftermarket compressor in rear with one of those small tanks underneath. If you need air bags for towing, you can get some by Firestone and use the air compressor to air them up. Since you have a lift on the front, ask yourself if you really want a factory air ride that will control how high the back is? Use coil spring spacers to get the height you want... JMHO

I had a 2003 with air suspension and loved it. Great for towing and leveling out a load. Never had a problem with it. I traded it in on a 2006 limited edition H2. They did not offer the air suspension on the limited. I would like to add it to my 2006 if possible. I would want it just like the factory too. On all the time and automatic leveling.

I was wondering too if anyone else has added it to their H2.

Tony.

;) i just want the air compressor for when i air down the tires and need to add air back in the tires, not for air bags of any type. it would be nice to check the air pressure and not have to go to the gas station to add air.
