New to the forum, bought my first hummer about 5 months ago and LOVE it. Just put on the new tires and wheels today, makes all the difference.

Anyone have problems with chips in the windshield becuase the angle is soo steep? Also, having problems with the radar detector staying stuck again because of the angle.

I have an 03 H2. It has had the windshield replaced twice, both times due to rocks hitting it. It currently has a third rock crack spot that will cause a fourth windshield to be installed, as soon as I have the insurance deductible.

I gave up on the little suction cups holding my radar detector onto the windshield. I bought a cartoon-like figure with long bendable arms and fingers. The sticky base adheres to the top of the dash. The arms and fingers fold around my radar detector and have held it in place just fine for several years now. Found it at a car wash store.

1. Dont tailgate
2. Get the Grille mounted one.
3. Give the action figure to the kids;)

Had mine replaced once. Had lots of micro pockmarks. Caught a pebble off a semi's tire in CO & made a star ~4" above the hood near center. Crazed all the way down to the hood. Got replacement done by a national chain recommended by the dealer (May have been Universal Autoglass?) No problems since. The replacement is far superior to the OEM.I gave up on the little suction cups holding my radar detector onto the windshield. Sounds good! Thanks for all the help. I will def look into a visor for now and hope that takes care of the problem. No major cracks yet but we will see.
