Does anyone know the process to prepare and paint the front chrome grill? Also, if anyone knows where to buy one instead, let me know....thanx...Jamie

You can do it physically or chemically. Abrasives or caustic organics will remove the silver. Probably easier to purchase one. This link may take a minute to download (depending on you connection and Quicktime settings) but I think it's fairly informative.

i had mine line x'd and i know they pealed off all the chrome frist turned out great !

Have you you looked on EBay?
I was looking there myself and saw
one they had on there.
They were making them in the factory
colors and looked like the orginals.

Thanks man, I thought that GM would sell them already painted black? I did see the primed one for $272. Wonder how much it would be to paint? Thanks again.....Jamie
