There is a code that can be used on the 03-04 units that overide the motion detection. By holding down the note button, you get a screen that allows you to enter a code (1791)
Good Luck!

What does this code unlock exactly?
I have an 04 nav unit in my 03 and it works great, but I can't play DVD's. Is that what we are trying to "unlock" here?
Thanks,
DUCK

From what I understand this code lets non-touch screen factory Nav systems use all of the menus while driving.
I am not sure what units the code works on. If the code doesn't work, there are some articles on how to add a switch to allow this. Just use the search button.
As for a DVD in Nav units... Not going to happen except in the 08s I think.
I wish I could help more. The best place to answer all of your Nav needs is JP Customs. I have used them before and they are awesome!
Good Luck!
