Anyone know where I can get a hood louver in body color black? I dont like the chrome, and would like to have black body color mirrors and faux hood vent, any ideas?

I had chrome mirrors and door handles and traded a forum member who had black ones. I did the swap out myself. You can see a post in the photo thread. This was the cheapest way to do it. You can buy the door handles for like $12.00ea on one of those GM Parts web sites but I could not find the mirror caps anywhere, Just the whole mirror assembly for over $100.00ea. That was a little pricey for me.

You could find one on ebay. Do a search under H3 hummer. Saw one there for a bout $50.00

I had crome handles and just rattle canned them over a year ago and there holding up well. Scuffed the crome with fine sandpaper and primered then painted. Theres lots of after market stuff. Google is your friend.

Go to this link, the picture shows all chrome but it is for the powder coat black one (not pictured), its the solid steel hood grill with handles, that might not be what you had in mind but I would recomend not getting the plastic stuff or the plastic handles that can be attached to the existing hood grill, ,,,,been there,,,, done it,,,,, and it looked cheap as hell.

These grill/handles are very cool and not that expensive.

Hope that helped a bit.

just installed the Black powdercoated Hood handles from SMA.

Bought them from the official Hummer Dealer in SoCal. First I was a bit afraid to install them, since I am not really a DIY King. But is was totally easy. It came with complete instructions as well as a drilling guide. Took only 15 minutes to install. Looks just perfect. Will add some pictures.
