Got to take the HUMMER in for service (30000 miles) need an oil change & filter as well as "THE BRAKE NOISE PROBLEM" again...

looking through the owners manual i don't find any specific lists of what else should be done (of course i am old and may have missed it)

I know when I go tomorrow their going to tell me I need tons of things done for lots of money

but

do any of you all see any "MUSTS" for a 25000 or 30000 mile service

thanks

I would definitely do a trans flush and t-case service. Those 2 will look pretty dark at 30K. Your t-case fluid will look like coffee.

i havent done any services on mine, however if you complain of noise coming from your diffs they will change the oil while they inspect the problem and not charge you for it. ;) i also got a new transfer case sooooo yeah another reason why i havent done a service.

RYD, If you are still under warrentee. You probably could get some freebees by talking some trash to the service manager...
Sounds like you are following your owners manual and honesty being the best policy. If you are planning on keeping it treat it like a lady!:grouphug:

I've been engaged 4 times and married and divorced twice...after all that i dated 1 women for 11 or so years, i didn't treat her like a lady yet i stayed with her longer that all the others combined...

I think if i treat the H-3 like a WHORE it will last a long time...

what do you think ?

My car has more than 30k in it and all I've done to it were oil changes. Is it necessary to do all the stuff that is recommended?

no you dont have to do all stuff
i mean as long as the factory put fluid in the transfer case and lubed everything else and it didnt leak you should be fine. your oil and filter, transmission fliud, coolant, fuel filters, and belts should last for the life of the car as well as long as you check them regularly to make sure they are all operational condition. just aslong as you dont mind a catastrophic frailure at some time or other. usually in a good spot like going up or down a steep grade, barrelling through a mud hole, or in the mall parking lot for some of you so all the girls (or boys i know there some women 3 owners out there) see your broke down hummer getting put on a roll back. it should be fine, especially if you wheel. the dust, grit, and mud will polish everything up nice like brand new!!!
