At 25,500 miles = Sgueeling/Rattle under hood when cold
At 27,800 miles = Rear Passenger door handle (back section) falls off
At 28,200 miles = Transmission Slipping, contacted OnStar, Told me I was having Transmission Failure
Today = Gm Dealership replacing Serpentine Belt and looking into Transmission issues and door handle.

At 27,800 miles = Rear Passenger door handle (back section) falls off= well whoopty do.
At 28,200 miles = Transmission Slipping, contacted OnStar, Told me I was having Transmission Failure= so what, GM is taking care of issue.
Today = Gm Dealership replacing Serpentine Belt and looking into Transmission issues and door handle.=so all three issues are being resolved. Whats all the bitching about?????

So, what the hell's your point?
1) Squeeling/Rattle - Shouldn't be a big deal
2) Door Handle - Should most likely be replaced with a new "whoopty do" door handle
3) Tranny - Should be serviced and corrected by GM
3 Issues = 2 Being Addressed, 1 In Progress
Who's bitching???
Me, for posting this...no
OR
You, for my post bothering you for not being direct and to the point...possibly
I am not bitching, just wondering if anyone has had any similar problems. Actually...no big deal at all...I have four other vehicles to hold me over until that new door handle gets me back on the road again.

When you title your thread "Where should I start" you are automatically bitching.

Maybe you are bitching, however I am not. I believe that I have stated that previously. However, I send you my sincere apology for being less than knowledgeable on "Thread Etiquette". Thank you for your concern. :)

There was a bulletin about the noise under the hood on the 06,I think it has to do with the tension pully, use search to find old thread print it out and make them replace tension pully.

Thank you! They said that I did have the newer pulley and that they did replace the the serpentine belt and I no longer have the noise. The door handle is on order...not a big issue. Of course, the transmission would not slip for the dealership, so they would not do anything at this point. Hummer Service has assigned a District Supervisor to the case and I am waiting to hear back from them. I have the tranny code...I think it was P9084, but the code is no longer in the system. I don't know why. Thanks for your help!

Hey G
I got an 06 w/19k. Thanks for posting your info...I like to stay on top of what's going on. Especially since I run it back and forth - Alaska and Washington. Do you tow anything with it? I was thinking about dragging a 20' car hauler North next time around.

did you buy your '06 new or used? if it was preowned vehicle, you should understand that it may have been abused in variety of ways. If bought new, the issues are regrettable but you're under the full warranty so just let the dealer & GM fix it (and try to get a loaner for the time while in shop, and take the loaner off-road for a nice spin)

Why wait almost 3k miles to get the noise under the hood fixed?:twak:
Sounds like the dealer is going to fix you up.
What did you get for a loaner?

I had my share,
-Fuel injector went up at 5K miles
-Front rattle/gas pedal shake issue at 5K miles
-Rear roof pillars paint faded
-Heated seats went out
I got 12K on her now, but I still freakin love my rig! Like to get an H2 , but wifey says NO. Thank goodness for WARRANTY!
Wouldnt trade for anything else!:clapping:

Yes...this H3 was purchased new from Valley-Cadillac Hummer in Rochester, NY. Also, I waited to get the noise under the hood fixed because it took such a long time to get the belt in for replacement. No loaner, they told me to drive it. The noise is gone and now the door handle just came in. However, my wife lost the trasnmission last Friday. She heard/felt a loud clunk and no transmission. OnStar said that the Torque Converter was slipping. The GM Rep called me and she made an appointmwent for me at the dealership (Fox Auto). They have it today and I will let you know the outcome. Still love the Hummer though! The rep said that they may increase the warranty and that they would take care of the issue.:clapping:

GM Dealership once again stated there are no codes and nothing wrong with the vehicle. GM Customer Service Rep said there is nothing that GM can do for me. Why do I have OnStar telling me what the problem is and GM says there's nothing wrong? I know there is an issue...it has happened to me and now my wife. This is very frustrating. Does anyone know where to take this further? Thanks!:crying:
