I think the ride is great for a truck. I think it depends alot on what your expectations are. If you are looking for a smooth car like ride, go for a Toyota. My wife's Sequoia drives like a Mercedes SUV. That is not the kind of ride I am looking for.

you have to air down your tires all the way and fill them back up with air.
The factory is over inflating them with Helium and that is why it keeps bouncing. It's soooo light.

If you have the Adventure it does ride a little stiffer, but MUCH better than most 4X4s.
I've been in 4X4s so long I think the basic package is the closest to a car like ride you're ever going to find in a true off-road machine. Ride in a Wrangler, Rubicon, F250, Vehicross, Liberty, or Xterra and then compare the ride -you'll think you're in a Cadillac in the H3. So much of ride is also dependent on wheel base and spring rates, that shocks don't always make that much of a difference on road. Airing down your tires a little will help. If they only had a toggle switch or something to defeat the Check Tire Pressure warning for those of us who deflate off-road. It's probably just a matter of knowing which wire to clip, but it does get a little annoying if you're mudding, and I'm sure I'll deflate a little in any serious snow.

H3 lady,
The ride in a H3 Lux package just don't get any better anywhere in a SUV or 4X4. What did you drive before you bought an H3?

Buy a Jeep.or a Cadillac.. Just Kidding
Check your air pressure in your tires I would try 30-32psi\
I think the ride was great in the one Itest drove

I tried that at first, no response. I think that is the whole issue but could be wrong. If you are used to driving a sedan, the ride will take getting used to.
I had five in the H3 yesterday, and the back passengers noticed the ride was substantially bouncy. Just driving over painted road markers, and sewer grates made the back very jittery for the people in the back.

Guess I'm glad I will never be riding in the back of mine http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Several people have touched on this, but definately check the air pressure in your tires. They come from the factory overinflated and give a much bouncier ride. Lower them to what it says on the sticker inside the door, 32 I believe, or maybe it was 34, and your ride will be much better.

As part of the GM pre-delivery inspection (PDI), the dealers are supposed to air down the tires and adjust to pressures shown on the tire label.

I took my H3 down the rockiest bumpiest road I could find down by the shoreline and I had no porblems. I don't have the adventure package and I haven't touched the psi. The ride seems bumpy if I'm the only one riding in the truck. When I drove down those roads with 3 passengers it was too much fun!

Buy two 50 lb. bags of sand and keep them in the rear cargo area!
That will keep things smooth!
Also, with time the suspension will loosen some.

yea give it some time, and it is a truck so if your not use to a truck (small) then it may be too much for ya? the dealers do forget the tires at times it depends on the delarship.
