I'm a big believer in the Optima batteries I have three installed. My H2, LX470 and a classic car I have. Worth every penny especially in the classic car, starts up everytime, even when its been sitting there for awhile.

why the red as opposed to the yellow???

After reading up on them, I determined for my application the red one was the way to go.
The yellow one is designed to be discharged almost to zero and then charged back up again.
I don't have a monster stereo system and I don't run the winch with the engine shut down.
The red one (with 1000 cranking amps) should do just fine.:D
