I had a 2005 H3 that I leased new, and then this year a few months ago I traded it in for a 2008 H3, but this time Financed.

If I wanted to change car, is there a way I can do that when it is being financed? How do I go about this?

a 2005 H-3 should be worth a hell of a lot of money... your talking collectors value !

Sell it - lose money
Trade it - lose a lot of money
Let it go back to the finance company - lose money and ruin your credit

Best choice is to keep it

You own it with a promise to pay the finance co...

Best bet call and see if you can renegotiate the rate of interest.

You're going to owe that money no matter what. But if it is a new vehicle you are after, you can trade in the H3 and the remaining balance can be rolled into the monthly payments of whatever vehicle you want instead. Best idea, keep making payments until it is worth more than you owe, then sell it to pay off the balance.

i think this is a fake thread, since everyone knows the H3 didnt come to market until 2006. and anyone not knowing these basic principals is a troll or has been living under a rock forever

I ordered mine in June, and picked it up in September. Only way to get the adventure package with manual transmission at the time. :excited:

well with all these old McCann customers we should have our own hummer happenings since they seemed to just pitter out.

Yes, I meant 2006 model year but I got it in 2005.

For example, let's say I took this to another dealer - how would taking over the financing payments work if I got a car through them, let's say of the same or a bit less value?

the old loan would be paid off and any trade-in value gain (or loss) would be applied to the new loan

after trade in and down payment I had about $10,000 left to finance so I got a
Balance transfer to a credit card company at 1.9 APR. I got the title on the H3 about 1 and a half years ago due to this. I can sell the H3 anytime. I owe $2,500 to the credit card company at this time.
