In the past couple weeks my passenger side door won't close properly. my wife closes her door and the message on top of my odometer still reads "doors." she tries to close the door 5 or 6 times before the message finally goes away. i figured it was because of the extremely cold temperatures we've been having. its been below zero for two weeks now. could the hinge in my door need replacing?

Haven't heard of any door latch problems on H3's yet. Is the door not actually latching (does the door line up with the body when its closed?) or is it just your message center leading you to believe that. Most likely you've got a bad door switch (there's been a few posts about moisture getting into the switch and causing contact problems).

I have had two different problems with my doors. When I first got my 3 the remote would not lock or unlock the doors and the power windows wouldn't work. It turned out to be a bad sensor in the door. Other problem was that the outside door handles would stick open and the door would not close properly.
I would check the little rubber sensor at the bottom of the b pillar. I believe that should tell the dash computer when the door is closed.

There is a contact closure in that rubber boot. The cold weather and some moisture could have effected its performance. Try manipulating it with your finger till it clears. If that does not get it contact the stealer.:raar:
