Last Pics. BTW - That's HummerLite in the pics..I was taking them. I'm so helpfull. LOL.
I really like the snorkel. Seems really well built. PITA to put in (according to HL), but I was happy with end result.

You caught the hat huh? LOL! HummerLite's mom gave it to me as I've been known to swamp my rig. Heh. I already had to have the carpet replaced once (when I swamped it bad in the NJ Pine Barrens mud. Nasty...couldnt get the smell out and mold grew. Water is ok though. Done that more the a few!). Still have yet to hydrolock it though! :beerchug:

It really isn't that bad to install, the worst part is installing the hose between the snorkle asm. and the air box

What about like waterproofing the electronics, the breather for the tranny the rest of the problem areas...?

RYD,
Yeah we ran out of time last night, but yes...we are putting new tubes on the mentioned components and moving them up to airbox. We are going to seal some or all of the elctronics as well. Move fuse / relay box into marine container and seal (although it will have lid and still be accessible), and something similar for pcm / tcm, and I thought there was something else we had to address but I dont remember off top of head what that was.
The biggest problem will be the doors. I've been trying some difft pressure seals (like the kind used around boat or submarine hatches) but the problem is then you cant close door without massive effort. If there was a groove all the way around, maybe. Well its a work in progress. Doubt I'll ever get it 100% sealed, but we're gonna try to make it least ford a "bit" deeper.
We're wondering about the ECM/TCM. Have to see if it gets hot or needs air...it looks like one big heatsink. If not, either box it or bring to interior behind glovebox up high where my current BCM is residing (already drowned one).

Recpeption is fine! They give you an "extender", it's like a little mteal barrel thing that you attach and screw antenna into. There is a pic above that show it kind of close up. Works fine! :beerchug:

Johan, Thanks! Yeah it's not a typical Gobi rack. It's a full height rack (What they call Ranger rack now) and I had Paul over at Gobi make the front end of it custom to fit the 9" HID's. They can do custom work like that if your interested.
