Hey gents,
I am about to go into the dealership today and try to negotiate for a H3T. I am now eligible for the pull-ahead program as I am 6 months out of my end-date. I believe they pay the last two payments and give you some extra cash on top of that. I know my regional incentives are for like a total of $4K, do these apply on top of everything as well?
Anyone have any good tips or thoughts on this? Any help is welcome. Especially those who just go one - Nips or Terry??????
Thanks,
Luke

Well i tried to lease and no one was having it. So i have no info on leasing. I got mine on order so it was delivered just as my H3 lease was up. So it was a more or less turn in and then i got my H3T on Purchase. Got 5 years...with payments approx $568 a month. My H3T was just under 34K.
One thing to do is find your dealership and do everything via email. I find it sometime you can be more forward via email. You can ask any question you want. Ask about incentives, lease, ask about everything! You don't have them sitting accross from you judging you or trying to pull the wool over your eyes. You can send an email, get an answer and then do some investigation on the answer. That's a little harder when your sitting at a desk and hearing the pitch and then tryin to take it in and figure out whats true and what might not be. I did everything over email....when i was done, i showed up at the credit union, the dealership faxed the buy sheet to the bank, did the paperwork there, went to the dealership, did some paperwork there(no negotions or anything)...and drove her home.

Thanks Terry! I figured that most people on these forums buy but I thought I'd ask anyway. I like the idea of leasing but am not opposed to buying. I hadn't thought about emailing them... duhhh. I figure I would go over tody and meet with him and see what they are offering and basically go from there. I have an idea of what I want to pay per month (I don't really care about list price only what I am going to be out per month) I will let the forum know what I learn when I get back this afternoon and see if anyone has any input.
Thanks for getting back so quick!

So, just got back from the dealer. They had 5 H3T's on their lot. 2 loaded Alphas, 1 cloth Alpha, 1 LUX and 1 base, standard trans. I took one of the loaded Alphas out for a spin. Nice ride, the longer wheelbase really helps. Good pick-up, not great but good. Great touch screen nav and back-up cam.
Went back into the dealership and he ran some numbers for me. Truck's MSRP was 44,599. Sale price was 39,950. to me. Monthly payment of....mid-700's. Lol, what?!?!? Apparently Chevy is no longer doing leases; this is the first I have heard of this. Anyone else? Needless to say I said thank you and left. Told him I might be back in to take the base for a spin and he told me he would work up some #'s on some Chevy pick-ups. :crying:
So, not even $5K off MSRP, no lease option and $700/mnth payments = no pull-ahead for me. A little surprising that they wouldn't want to deal a little more. Has anyone heard anything about no leasing from now on? According to him "all dealerships are moving away from leasing" Really? Or just the ones who's company is in the sh!tter. After the immediate dissapointment I had a good chuckle about it. There's my info from the great Nor'east.
:soapbox:

Correct, you can forget about trying to lease a truck from GMAC...they are leasing a few cars but thats it.....

Why don't you ask about ordering one the way you want it. That's what i did. Then you can get it around the price you want it.
