Is this really required? I asked the dealer what the break in procedure was, and he asked me, you mean do you have to keep it under 55mph? And he said no, it's all ready to drive however you want.
Anyways I kept it usually below 55, sometimes I had to go about 70 but not for long. Usually didn't go over 3000rpms either.
Til just recently, when some old guy in a truck tried to come over in the lane I was in and I had to accelerate hard to avoid being hit. Pretty good acceleration, I think I may have gone to like 6000rpms though. Just cause I baby my cars, I popped the hood when I got home to make sure nothing came lose or broke or anything, and there was a little wiper fluid next to the cap to put more in. Not sure if that just happened or if it was always like that.
So, just wondering if there really is some break in procedure and if I need to be careful with pushing the engine hard, I'm at 400 miles now. thanks
