hi guys, i recently bought a 03 hummer h2, here in the uk. i went out to it this morning and its now like driving a hot rod. one of the rear air bags is jacked fully and wont level itself off. ive hit the height control, thats just flashing now. ive played with the internal compresor switch, it works but doesnt do anything to help the problem.

seperate to the above, i got an engine managment light on, i pluged it in and its says a leak on the vapour system??

any ideas are welcome, you think taking your hummer to the dealer is expensive in america,,,,,,,,, try that in th uk ????????????????????

cheers

you have an airbag that is cracked more than likely. If you do a search here you'll find quite a few of us have had issues with the comprssors and air bags.

I think your best is to switch out both airbags/ it's an easy job if you are somewhat mechanically enclined. You should be able to do both in under an hour easily.

or you can swap out to coil springs and will never have that issue again. you will need 2 coil springs and coil seats. will have to reflash teh computer when done and/or remove all wire/relay, etc for the compressor also.

...not sure on your vapor leak though.

As far as the evap leak ,thats an easy fix . Sometimes the gas cap is not on righr or worn out. Check that first . The air bags are an easy fix .They are around $100.00 each . If after you replace both bags you still have the problem ,you may have a bad comp or swiths or sensor . Coil springs are the cheap way out ,but you will not has as smooth a ride as with the air bags .

GUY'S NEED HELP, I AM CHANGING OUT MY AIR SUSPENSION FOR OEM COIL SPRINGS AND INSULATORS ON THIS COMING FRIDAY. MY QUESTION IS WHAT IS REQUIRED SO THAT THE SERVICE AIR SUSPENSION LIGHT WILL NOT COME ON. I KEEP READING ABOUT THE COMPUTER REFLASH, BUT NO ONE HAS GIVEN DETAILS AS TO HOW THIS IS ACCOMPLISHED. PLEASE HELP SO THAT I CAN GIVE MY MECHANIC PERFORMING THE WORK HOW TO DO IT.
THANKS,
