Gary, did your H3 have H3 embroidered into the front headrests?
Each yellow one I see around here have the H3 embroidered and yellow gauges. Dealer says they come in that way.

You did your homework and even though it took you two to three weeks to get the dealer to take your GMID Certificate it was well worth it!
In NY some dealers where not taking GMS for actual GM employees. I was fortunate enough to find a dealer in WNY area that allowed me to use mine.
That is why a site like ours is so great, you can find out where the best deals are being made! </span> http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

Congratulations on your new H3! I'm researching and considering purchase. I too would hope to use a GMID. I'm located in NY -- Marc, you mentioned you had difficulty and then success. Would you mind sharing which dealers gave you problems and who ultimately "hooked you up".
Thanks to all.

Three of the yellow hummers at Suburban Hummer, Troy, MI had the H3 embroidered in the headrests, and the salesman stated they came from the factory that way. Now, maybe Suburban had it done, and the salesman doesn't know his *** from a hole in the ground.

Well, being a Cowboy fan, I could probably plan a nice trip to see my team and pick up a Hummer. That being said, it's just too far from NY. It would be a nice ride though. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Try the four dealers in the Detroit area; Detroit Hummer, Novi Hummer, Suburban Hummer, Friendly Hummer, most have quite a large inventory of H3s. They are also willing to accept GMID, GM Supplier and GM employee plans, since this area is filled with GM employees.
Another area that might work is Buffalo since GM has a large facility in Tonawanda.

BTW: f5fstop is correct... for those that don't know it we are the only facility (GM Powertrain Tonawanda) that makes the I-5 for our H3's. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif</span>

hey HummerGuy
I live in Dallas and in the market for one. I think I have the SVPP through my company which is not GM. Do you know if any Dallas dealerships will take it?

Hello Everyone,
I just purchased a Boulder Grey H3 with my GMID...Like Gary, I was the first one the dealer I went to accepted here in the Boston area. I checked around with every dealership within 100 miles of here. Saved $3300 on the sale so it was definitely worth doing the "homework".

Congrats Gary. I tried to use my GMID at Bachman in Louisville and the Finance Director said "no way, we don't accept those". I wasn't up for arguing to try to spend my $39,000, so I got my $1000 deposit back and have ordered my Boulder Grey Lux from Lynch Hummer in St. Louis (about 300 miles). Lynch has been great, Mr. Lynch himself even emailed me saying, to look him up when I arrive and he'll take us out on the trails out back. Good luck and enjoy your new ride.

They told me no on 06/27, other than that they were great, nice people, especially the salesman, Paul Taylor. I felt bad for him, so sent him a thank you with $50 in it. I ordered my H3 the next day, on 06/28 with Lynch Hummer.

Okay, here's my deal using GMID at LYNCH HUMMER (picking up my new ride on Thurs, 08/18).....H3 Boulder Grey/Ebony Leather/Lux Series/Auto Tran/Sunroof/Chrome Appear/Chrome Wheels/Chrome Tubular Steps/XM Satellite Radio/Roof Marker Lights
MSRP...$38,280.00
GMID... - 3,428.26
TOTAL..$34,851.74
Besides the great price, I have had the pleasure of dealing with the professional and accomodating staff of Lynch (who actually return your calls and follow through with requests...who knew???). I have read about a lot of bad experiences with dealerships, you WON'T find that @ Lynch, definitely worth the trip. I couldn't be happier! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Was this a "long distance" purchase or do you live in Missouri.
Congratulations and good luck!

Thanks, I live & work in NYC and have a home in Prospect(Louisville) which is where I'm going to keep the H3. Flying from NYC to St. Louis, driving 300 miles to Prospect and play for a few days, then fly back to New York.

As a footnote, using the GMID at Lynch was painless, I didn't have to explain what it was, beg, or plead for them to honor it. I just told them that I was interested in purchasing an H3 and asked if they accept the GMID and the answer was simply, "yes we do". So I proceeded to place my order and my H3 was delivered to the dealership in 5 1/2 weeks (with the 2 week vacation shutdown during that period). It was really quick and definitely worth the $3600+ that I saved (incl. the 6% in tax). I have worked mainly with Dale, but when he was off, Howard was able to take care of me. Since they are salaried and not commission, they all work together (hmmm...what a concept). I have to say it has been the easiest and most pleasant buying experience I've EVER had, by far.
