I seem to remember some thing similar from other posts:

My H2 has about 16,000 miles. When at a stop, and the wheel is cranked, a slight pop/knock is heard and felt on the driver's side.

On slight acceleration from a stop, the knock is also slightly felt.

If anybody has had this happen and knows the fix, let me know.

Thanks!
Tom

Did you just have an alignment done?

it could be a couple of diferent things.
your brakes load the suspension by appling torque to the suspension and steering knukle. if the ball joints are dry(lacking grease) they will bind under load, then when you release your brake and hit the gas the suspension unwinds and the torque is released...Clunk! I use "High Pressure Grease", it the silvery looking kind that doesn't push out like white grease and it holds up in wet conditions.

one other thing to look for is a bad ball joint, it would be allowing the joint to shift the same way because of premature wear.

The dealer fixed one back in April and it was the cross member popping. They tried everything then a cadillac service gu came over and said they had a similar problem on the escalade. I don't know what was happening with the cross member but maybe this will point the dealer into the right direction.
