My dealer told me that I would have to pay around $2k to get chrome wheels with the adv. package. Anyone with chrome wheels and the adv. pkg. have to pay that much?

Don't recall anyone else getting the adventure series with the chrome wheels but that is ridiculous. Weren't the chrome wheels like a $900 option? For $2k you could get aftermarket tires and wheels.

On a side note, a pickup passed me this morning on the way to work with "Rent to Own Tires and Wheels" advertising all over it http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

That sounds a little high, but not by a great amount. GM charges a dealer more to buy the chrome wheels separately from the vehicle. Also, the cost of mounting and balancing them is a little bit more expensive because of the air pressure monitors in the tires.

The factory chrome wheels are not available with the Adventure package/Lux-Adventure package. The wheels must be bought separately and put on. A search on ebay will probably find you some cheapies though.

I purchased the Lux-Adventure package and I wanted the chrome wheels with the bigger tires.
The dealer asked me if I was sure that was what I wanted I told him it was so they did the swap at no extra charge.
