before you guys yell and tell ne to search i have done that already and have narrowed my choices to two,Granatelli Diablo Programmer & the extreme one most of the posts were from months ago so i would like to know who is happy with what and which route i should go. i dont do much if any off roading i bought it because i love the look ( so much that i sold my 2002 vert corvette to get it) so what do you guys think is best for an everyday city driver and weekend runs of 350 miles to the casino. thanks in advance and what a great forum this is

Hello BigHeavy and welcome.
I am not, by far, the expert here but I went with the Predator.
From what I understand, both of the programmers will remove the "torque-managment" and increase performance BUT the Predator allows you to scan and reset codes. I found this helpful when I had a gas cap that was leaking and giving me a "check engine" light. I used the Predator to see what was giving me the light thus saving me a trip to the dealership. I fixed the problem and cleared the code.
Just my .02...good luck

Take a look at my 2 posts in this thread, and you'll see why I decided against the Hypertech:

The Hypertech cannot adjust part throttle settings.
Predator, on the other hand, says they can modify part throttle settings.
I ordered a Predator yesterday, so I shall see.

My .02 is the same as PATRIOT's. I have had a few trouble codes from changing out the Mass air flow sensor, etc. and the Predator's ability to read and erase the codes makes it a better product for me.
I had a Hypertech in my 2001 XL Denali, but removed it and the Predator is more friendly and allows you to make finite adjustments to some of the programming yourself.

I have used Hypertech on the last 10 GM trucks/ SUV's.... Found them user friendly. I'm not a mech. found the plug and play to work well.. I had Granitelle (sp) MAss air sensoro on my 99 Sub before the Vortech was put on. Never got engine warning lights.. I think Any of the units you are looking at will do the job. I know the hypertech works. and am comfortable with it.. THe hypertech for my H2 came in toey while I was out. Will install this Sunday and will let everyone know if I have any problems with it.

Super Chips will also scan codes and remove the torque-managment programing. Most of the programers out there are just copys of each other. Also be prepared to run a higher grade fuel while your using your programer. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif BIG-C
