Thats what I talking about a man who is not scared of a few holes in the sheet metal. It pays off with a quality install. Job well done!

thanks again guys. the lights were $5.95 each plus a few $$ for shipping. a few screws some wire and connectors so not much at all. took me and our helicopter mechanic about 2 hours to finish.
WOW! Damn that looks sweet at night! Once again great job MJ! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

Nice lights, and they don't create wind noise like the front ones.

That's a good day at work http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
Looks great. Any glare on the rear window from the lights? I see it does a good job lighting up the sticker.

hey ctslicker, the lights use one of the mounting screws to ground so i just ran all the power wires down through the door and tapped into one wire that i ran through the rubber boot that routes all the other wires from the rear gate. i then just tapped into the brown wire going to the brakelight assembly. newbie havent driven in complete darkness yet so not sure on the glare but in the early morning light no glare. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
Nice lights! BTW who's the mfg. of the roof rack?

That looks sweet! Nice job and a very nice, clean installation. Very professional.
This just proves how nice the H3 looks with marker lights similar to the H2. It needs to be standard on the front and back!

So you are saying that these rear markers lights go in effect once you apply the brakes?
Did you do this for ease of wiring or preference. Also did you consider wiring to the running lights? Did you use any type of anti corrosion around the drilled holes? I want to also say fantastic job, it turned out great!!
Now I got to do this to mine.

well first the roof rack is a thule. mounts nicely to the factory rails with their fit kit, and the lights only are on when the headlights or parking lights are on. i did use some spray primer to coat the drilled holes. i just sprayed it into the lid and used a small model paint brush to get inside the holes.
