I just got off the phone with the dealer. To go with a combo of Gas Cap, Aluminum Roof Rack and Hood Handles is $1650! Gas cap alone is $598! Is it me or are these prices VERY high.

Is that with installation. Those prices are very high but I bet they include installation costs also.

Damn that is high! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

I have an accessory list here from my dealer and everything seems over priced there as well. They want $899 for the crossbars but they list the handles at $350. They don't even have the gas cap listed. Hell, they want $199 just for the mud flaps http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

I just got off the phone with Adventure Accessories / Lynch HUMMER. They were very helpful and offer GM parts at fair prices. I'll either install myself or find someone handy. I ordered the following:

Roof Racks
Mud Flaps
Rigid Tire Cover
Gas Cap
Mudder Floor Mats [/list]

Ordered the HUMMER letters and Stainless Steel bumper inserts from eBay. That should hook the HUMMER pretty well.

Still not pleased with the dealer. Even with installation, those prices are high.

My dealer actually throws in the tire cover but that is just because it is advertising for them. No offense you guys at dealerships but they are almost always overpriced on parts, accessories and service. But hey, they are in business to make money I guess.

Wow. Mudflaps that high? Damn. I think I got mine installed for $65 or $69.

Gas cap is a jip at that price too. It was mid-high $100 for it installed.

The only thing that I questioned from the dealer was the brush guard, as it was in the $900 range due to the "difficulty" to install it. Obviously I haven't done that just yet! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

My dealer has the brush guard listed at $899 as well but it doesn't say if that is installed or not.

$600 for a gas cap? Um yeah, don't think so. I ended up paying $240 for the lockable, installed, and I thought that was a rip off.

GEE! This kinda sounds like the Hummer dealer I got my H3 from.

Lynch Hummer will sell Hummer parts at a really good price. Like $341 for the roof rails.

Save the money and put the accessories on the vehicle yourself.

You are correct, the dealer you got yours from is about as bad. Good news though, I have heard the service department is great there.

I found some deals a lot cheaper.

H3 Bright Roof Rack Cross Rail Package $389.70

H3 Billet Aluminum Grooved Hood Handles $137.00

Chrome gas cap around $150.00 (no picture)

Total without tax and install - $676.70.

Saving about $1,000 for installing yourself (so you can buy other Hummer goodies). Priceless! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Also by the way H3 Brush/Grille Guard $469

To me, that's a fair price installed. I understand the dealer has to make a profit. $598 -- that's a bit much.

It's sure going to be one nice UPS package. I called back and had him add the Tire Cover. I'm not very handy. If I can't install myself, I'll solicit a friend to install. Pizza $14. 12 pack of Sam Adams $12. Having your friend install your HUMMER accessories while saving $1k - Priceless.

That is still more than $150/hour labor, as having never installed one before, it took me approx 45 minutes!

Okay, so I haven't even picked up my HUMMER and I'm addicted to accessorizing. Today's total bill from various online retailers was $1189.31. I'm done...at least for a week or so. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
