View Full Version : Weird...
Hey guys, this is truly weird and I can't imagine why this is happening. A few weeks ago I went to a local Home Depot, parked and tried to lock the doors with the keyless remote and it didn't work. Tried a few more times, still didn't work and had to manually close the doors. I come back out, try to unlock them, still doesn't work. Drive out of the Home Depot mall, go to a gas station and tried to lock/unlock them, worked perfectly. Everything has been fine since then, until tonight. This time it happened again at the same Home Depot, except it wasn't the keyless that didn't work, the instrument panel wasn't working (no lights, and none of the gauges worked). I drive out and get out of the vicinity of the Home Depot and the whole instrument panel started up and is working normally.
Does anyone know what is going on? The only problems I've had with the H3 have been around this damn Home Depot, is it cursed or an environmentalist Home Depot? lol
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

I'm thinking "aliens" here. Were there any crop circles in the immediate area?

I heard all Home depots are built on top of Waste dumps, toxic, nuke, garbage, etc. For real that is what I was Told. They only build on none residental properties.
Did your H3 lights come on, unexpected?????
My Tahoe had the locking problem in certain areas near Oceana Naval Air Station. It was very weird.

Are there any large antenna's, like TV or radio station types in that area?

Yep, almost all home depots have large cell towers on them or near them.

just what i was going to ask...RF interferrence in some locations can cause this problem. verified it happens to the remote but never heard of the lights since they are hard wired.
How about Lowes? http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
Thanks for the replies guys.
Yeah my brother mentioned RF interference for the keyless problem, but the instrument panel not working has me stumped. BTW to be clear, the headlights/interior lighting worked, I meant the instrument panel didn't light up and the gauges weren't working.
As for Lowes, we don't have those in Canada http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Next time you go there take both remotes- if both of them won't work than it's probably not a problem with your H3.
If one works and the other doesn't than there probably is a problem with either the remote or the receiver in the truck.

I Actually had both remotes and tried each one, neither worked.

RazM, where are you located? If the Home Depot is near by I will try my remote on my doors there...
