View Full Version : CORSA H3 exhaust finally here
I got lucky, and ordered a black fuel door from RealWheels Accessories, and the girl I ordered with told me that the CORSA systems had just arrived in their warehouse, so I ordered it. CORSA told me that RealWheels would be the first to get it, and that looks correct. I should have it in a couple days, and I'll let everyone know how the install went. I have heard that this system should make the H3 sound better than other exhausts on the market. I hope it will make my H3 sound a little better than stock. YUCK!!

Please tell us more about the Corsa exhaust(based on actual experiences after installation).
Noise and sound outside, cabin noise level compared to stock, etc.
Thanks.

The install was easy, and I was able to complete it right in my garage. After it was on, I was a little disappointed, because from inside the vehicle, the H3 didn't sound any tougher. But when my brother drove behind me, he was amazed at how much better it sounded. I asked him to do a few drive-bys with my H3 so I could hear it, and now I AM SATISFIED. From inside, you can hardly tell, but that is what CORSA brags about in their literature, so they definitely did their homework. From behind, it looks much better than stock, and doesn't look like it will get in the way when I am off-road. Overall,,, I give it a thumbs-up!

That's good news. I called around all over the place and it seems like only realwheels has them in stock. I'm pretty sure that Jason from H2 source carries their products. I'm going to check with him to see if he can get me a better deal. I sure hope it help out the sound on the H3 because I think that it is really weak.

The lack of sound inside the cabin is probably a good thing. Other systems caused unpleasant droning in the cabin at certain speeds. After you put on a few more miles, maybe you can update us on your impression again. And of course some pictures later please.

I would like to hear it!

rfox did you notice any difference in performance ?

do you think Jason from H2 source would offer members a discount for a group buy ?
Group buy is unlikely, until CORSA can increase production. It seems that there have been a lot of H3ers waiting for this one, and RealWheels seems to be the only Hummer Aftermarket company with them in stock. Quite a few others that I called said that they would order it, but I hate it when they tell you they can get one, but really can't. As far as performance, it is probably better, but hard to tell without having a stock H3 next to mine. I'll try to make that comparison soon.

Just came across this add. "Ok all. We are now taking orders for the Hummer H3 exhaust by CORSA. The 1st 6 orders will receive free shipping-ground within the continental US. Also remember that you can pick up your Hummer H3 CORSA exhaust at our shop and it is no cost to you".hummerhub.com (http://hummerhub.com)

Does Corsa make only one model for the H3? I had a Corsa "Sport" on my H2 but there is also a "Touring" version that is almost quiet as stock.
You might want to check first so you make the right decision.

Rfox,
Tell us more about your observations after using the Corsa system for a few days and miles.
thanks,
S.
Very HAppy! I don't know if this is possible, but the sound during acceleration seems to have gotten better after I put approx. 350 miles on the vehicle. I stopped by a dealership in Milwaukee, and one of the salespeople asked what I had done to the engine to make it sound so much better than stock. I wish that it made a bigger difference in performance, but the extra 20 HP isn't that noticeable.

Rfox,
Thanks for the update. Cabin noise not too bad?
Do you get droning at freeway speeds 70-80mph?
Sounds like the Corsa system is one of the best available so far.
S.
No.. There isn't realy any cabin noise. And at highway speed the sound seems the same (at least similar) to stock. I did have a chance to compare to another H3 with an aftermarket exhaust, and the Corsa sounded way better. The guy with the other H3 said he had a BB exhaust. Even the tips looked much cheaper. I don't plan to do too much chrome, but I thought about getting the chrome air cleaner covers. With the lux package, I think they would compliment the other small chrome items on the H3. Thoughts?

Rfox - appreciate the feedback. I'm very interested in getting this Corsa system. I'll check with the local dealer here (they carry Real Wheels products). I drove their H3 with SMA intake and exhaust and I wasn't impressed, noise was not good. The pictures on the Corsa website look great.
Yea I am one of the H3 owners on the forum that admits to liking some bling. I have a luxury pkg H3 with chrome pkg, chrome wheels, chrome side steps, chrome Real Wheels locking gas cap cover, etc. But I think the chrome air cleaner covers are a bit too much for my taste. Later I'm thinking of 20" wheels with Nitto Terra Grabbler tires, so I'm one to be talking about too much bling http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif.
Keep us posted in your H3 and have fun with it http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif.

Steve - They are just suppliers, no installs, but they are very helpful if you have any questions.
NMH3 - -Yes, I have checked the mileage , and it was about the same as prior to the install of the CORSA. I actually feel pretty good about that, as I definitely have been pounding the gas pedal more than usual because I enjoy the new sound. If you wanted it for gas mileage, you would probably be happy, but most of us want it for the extra HP and improved sound.

RFox - still happy with your Corsa system?
Any other H3'ers using the Corsa exhaust system yet.
Thanks.
