Common problems to look for.....

Okay guys well tomorrow Im going to check this H2 (been wanting this since it was introduced)....with 99% chance of purchasing tomorrow...the only thing holding me now is Im going to bring it to my mechanic to check for any problems...

Can you guys give me some common problems to look for that my mechanic might not see?

I just bought used also, so i checked the service records for problems. I made sure the service was all up to date. Tested everythng prior to paying for it. Oh, and one thing i did not check and discovered later. The front differential leak. I understand its pretty common. So, good luck and post more photos.

thanks man ill take a look for the leak....they are giving me 1 year warranty by i will also go extend it at the dealer .....

I have an 03 and have had some issues with Hippies and Econuts which is generally not covered by the factory warranty.

I would definitely check the undercarriage to see if you have a Hippie infestation. They have been known to "nest" in and around Hummers in protest. (especially here in Austin)

Look/smell/listen for rolling papers, patchoulli and The Greatful Dead.

College know it all Hippies are the worst. . .

Leaks, scrapes, tire wear, smell.

Get a Carfax report!...was it one owner?...will they talk to you?

Well Im checking out the car tomorrow morning since it wasnt there when i went today...its at the dealer for service ...needs a tie rod but it was backorder...so if i like the car and it deosnt have any other problems i can take delivery tomorrow and fix the tie rod next week since dealer will receive it on Wednesday.
