You can fix your UCP at home instead of replacing it.

Ed told me about this and the website at the Penns Cave event this weekend.

It's genius, I wish I had thought of it myself, it's simple, and works.

Here's the link: http://www.flashoffroad.com/features/BentUndercarriage/bentundercarriage.htm

Check it out. If you offroad, you'll probably need it sooner or later. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

That's a lot of effort for such a simple fix.
Take off your UCP and lay it on the ground with the front edge on a 2-3' long piece of 4X4 wood. Then run the front tire of your H2 up each of the three bars. Don't worry- by using the 4X4 piece of wood you'll only be able to bend the bars so far. Depending on how badly your UCP is bent, you might have to do it a couple of times.
I've done this a few times, and it works perfectly.

Thanks DRTYFN!

After this reshaping... Do the bolt holes still line up without too much trouble...?
