I will never understand why people do that.

I had an experience like that in a gym once too. I don't go b/c I'm a germophobe, but my girlfriend convinced me to go with her. I armed myself with anitbacterial wipes and some Purel. We get out onto the floor and she got on a machine for your legs- you sit semi-reclined and release some thing that frees the weights and you push out with your legs (keep in mind she is a built girl, very tall, and runs marathons etc.). Well, I didn't know about the "release" part. So I got on, got into position and she pulled the relaese thing and my legs just flew back, my knees were shoved on either side of my head. It was awful, furthermore I was too weak to push it back out and everyone else was laughing so hard that they were having trouble getting me out. I almost peed from laughing- and embarrasment. Needless to say- I like working out at home.

That kid falling through the floor, that was some funny sh!t!

A friend was warming up with 225 lbs on a bench and said he didn't need a spot, well the bar sliped off of his hands and hit him square in the mouth, broke almost all of his teeth and shattered his jaw. I was surprised it didn't kill him. I've also seen someone not properly warming up with curls, grabbed a pair of 80 lb dumbells and snapped his right bicep. I thought he broke his arm because it made a loud snap. They were able to reatache the bicep and he was back in the gym 6 mo later.

If you'd use some of your houselhold cleaners instead of drinking them you might not have that problem.
