Hey,
I just bought a Volant Cold Air Intake System(box). I assumed it came with the Volant Intake Tube, but of course that is an EXTRA!!
Just wondering if I should buy the Volant Intake Tube as opposed to using the OEM intake tube?
Any thoughts, I'd appreciate it http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

The only draw back that I remember hearing about or that I have experienced, is a bit more intake noise under heavy / full throttle.

Replacing the antler style (noise reducing) intake tube, looks better, and appears to offer increased volume possibilities.

I used an AirRaid tube.

Enjoy

I have the same set up (Volant box w/out the tube).

I was surprised too when it didn't have the tube included.

I can't tell a bit of difference with the box and I'm more concerned with water intrusion than a tiny bit of performance. To that end, I never bothered to add the other piece.

Isn't it cold enough in Canada? Why do you need the intake? http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

FREAKIN COLD in winter but CRAZY HOT in the summer? Go Figure. We get -30 to -45 in winter, yet we get 95 to 100 in the summer. It is nice though to have ACTUAL SEASONS http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I have the Volant Box, MAFS and Tube. I wish I had kept the stock "antler" on it. It's Freaking LOUD and there was no increase in mileage or performance?

So I was mistaken!!!The intake tube did come with the Volant system.

Had it installed and I'm VERY pleased with the performance aspect. My H2 is WAY more responsive. I'm not expecting any gas mileage increase as I can't help but STOMP on the gas all the time as IT FEELS SOOO GOOOD http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I don't notice it louder, but then again I have the Magnaflow Catback Performance Exhaust, so louder would be a hard thing for me to hear http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
