Ohh!! It worked! So THAT's how it's done... LOL

OK, I'm confused too, did you upload the picture as an attachment or a single picture in the photo album option? You are correct, the help section is no help about this.

I'm trying to figure out how to post multiple pics on one log!?!?

DrG 10-28-2005 04:59 PM

Well obviouly I'm guessing but logic tells me that either it's the photoalbum option OR mulitple attachments. Do you mean multiple posts each with a different pic or multiple pics in one message?

H3OwnerDiz 10-28-2005 05:13 PM

I used the attachment option when I did that pic above. So this is what I've learned:

When you do use the attachment option and upload the picture, it displays below your signature and you can only attach one pic per post.

The photo album thing will start a whole new thread and display multiple pictures at once, but only a little larger than a thumbnail until you click each one to enlarge.

To add multiple pics to a thread, you have to upload them to some other website (like putfile.com, your own homepage, etc), then use the Image button and enter the URL for the image.

Good luck!

Once again...you rock!!! Thanks!!!

Well, that was a little big and it was about 78K. I deleted the message but I'm still a little confused if file size relates to image size. I'm just playing here.

H3OwnerDiz 11-05-2005 09:48 PM

I just open the pic in microsoft paint and change the size by a percentage, then resave it.

h2co-pilot 11-05-2005 10:21 PM

If you open it in MSPaint, click the jpeg icon in the toolbar, it is a blue arrow. The window will pop open. If it doesn't compress to under 65 automatically when you press next then click the "use wizard" button in the lower left of the jpeg optimizer window and adjust the image quality until it reaches your preferred "byttage".

Size doesn't matter.

Thanks for all the help. I am using a crippled edition of Photoshop and I have figured out that if I save the image to a width of 640 pixels with a medium quality, it fits nicely here. One image I have already deleted, was too wide and caused my monitor to have to scroll across to see the whole thing. It was 1000 pixels wide, a little too much.
I reposted the cartoon into the press forum with the width set at 640 pixels and it looks good.
Now I need to figure out how to do the avatars.

Resize to 48 X 48 and then upload it when you change your avatar in your profile.

To use it as an avatar, right click on it and copy the image and paste it in the URL spot in the custom avatar slot.
