I was just about to post it, too.

Hummer H2
It had its fling with polite society, a soiree combined from the macho family resemblance to the military-derived Hummer H1 and the housebroken underpinnings of a Chevy Suburban. Hot when it first landed, thanks to the shift in the environmental winds, the H2 is now the redneck's parade float.

Some smartass emailed that to me today also, I replied with a link to the Tribute video on YouTube :D

It looks like some first year journalism student needed a quick BS topic to get his column in on time.

It's still a rarity to see them here. And this propaganda just makes me happier.

I'd hate to be like all the sheep out there driving the same "Popular" vehicles.

Oh crap, I actually agree with Dennis on something again.

I like it too, it groups us with other big tire, big engine, big rig 4x4's.

If ours is a parade float, this guy wins the presidents trophy! :giggling:

Two ton Rockwell military axles, 15 inch beadlocked wheels with 46 inch tires. He couldn't turn but could drive over just about anything.

Is that one of those H1 kit Ford conversion?

RuggedH2 10-03-2007 05:24 AM

Re: redneck's parade float?????????

Not Ford, but yeah...... kit.

Big GM diesel engine, full roll cage, good articulation for Rockwells. Damn near bullet proof and street legal, no manners but aggressive as hell.

Talk about redneck...It says Rebel custom 4x4 on the bar with a couple confederate flags. :D

Re: redneck's parade float?????????

i find it humurous that they must write articles like this. First off it is none of their business. Most of the readers cannot and will not be able to afford one in their lifetime. it's not just the purchase price of an H2 it is the monthly expenses as well. If they could afford the purchase price, the upkeep, taxes, insurance and monthly fuel bill would sure crush their budget. So yes the H2 is becoming a rarity and I am thrilled as **** that I can afford that rarity.

:jump: :jump:

who are you kidding?

I see so many god damn cars/suv's EVERY SINGLE DAY that piss all over your precious H2 in terms of how much someone paid to drive them.....

As a matter of fact, there are MULTIPLE used H2's for under 40grand sitting outside the dealership down near my house that just continue to sit there...........suppose no one around here can afford them.....:twak:

:jump:

God damn people.............It's really not that expensive of a vehicle in terms of Luxury SUV's or Cars.........:shhh:

Kinda gotta go with this one. Even new, 62 large ain't a big deal. Now, go out to the $95K range, and the real estate gets exclusive. Even onna lease, welfare babies aren't going to swing the payment.

Moonie the guys wife was standing directly behind the rig, and he's on the tire. Not to mention....we parked downhill from him. :D

Those Rockwells don't move when locked down. ;)

As far as the lux car thing goes, who cares? I have three kids one requires a car seat. I can't fit the family in an Unlimited. No choice but to drive a big 4x4. Just lucky it is also so much sweeter than the Jeep. :giggling:

Do you think I drive my old ass paid off jeep because I worry about how ****ing sweet it is? :giggling:

No.......I just enjoy taking a semi built, paid off jeep up to the mountains to watch all you simple mofo's struggle to get up 6 rated obstacles....:OWNED:

Really though..........I was just commenting on the original post about how expensive the Hummers are and how it's a rare thing that someone is able to afford one..........:jump: .........

:lame:

Actually, it is their "business"...the author is paid to write about vehicles, and that's what he's doing. Secondly, what shortcomings are you trying to compensate for by bragging about your supposed wealth? Lastly, if you think the H2 is destined for "rarity" then the author of the article hit the nail on the head with respect to rednecks, because only a redneck would view such a vehicle as a rarity.
