transmission works great

Over the last 2 years my tranny in my 03 h2 has not worked that greatest, the 3-4 problem and even 2-3 was not that solid so I talked to 3 tranny shops one said over the phone it needs a rebuild $3600.00 the other guy with a beer in his hand said it needs a rebuild $2800.00 and the last guy who has done work on one of my trucks in the past said its a cheap and easy fix, he said its not slipping just needs 1 new part and it should work fine. With that said 1 hour later and $200.00 spent my hummer has never shifted so well, nice solid shifts @ slow and fast accelerations my guy also said he cant say when the tranny will go but he said this cheap fix will prolong the life of the tranny he also said the factor new about the problem from the start and was to cheap to fix it hoping they would fall out of warranty before they need to repair them.

107000 miles on hummer

Not to doubt the OP but can anyone confirm this? It seems like a cheap and easy fix that may prolong the tranny. (of course, not so cheap for the original poster with an hour of labor and 15 dollar part. Guess that guy charges 185 per hour...lol)

Re: transmission works great

If your tranny was already slipping...its not a fix, just a short term band-aid. How long you own the vehicle will decide if its your problem or someone elses.

Supercharger manufacturers recommend this, and shoddy auto dealers do this on weak trannys to firm them up for sale.

I was looking at these last month when I was thinking about finally putting the magnacharger on the truck. A link I saved on installing it-

http://s-series.org/component/option...m,6/task,item/

There's a billet servo available that hold 35-45% more than the corvette, it can be found around $100.

Okay....This all sounds good. I like the idea of this. However They keep saying it's an upgrade for a 4L60E Trans. There is no mention of it beeing an upgrade for a 4L65E Trans??????? I will have to put a call into my father in-law he owns a tranny shop and still actually builds transmissions.

700R4/4L60E/4L65E are all the same for the servo's for 2nd gear and 4th gear, and the seals for the servo's are the same as well.

What is the install process like? Is there a step by step on the forum?

If you read the thread, you'd see there's a install link already posted.
