WTF IS WITH THE SPAM!
 

Can something be done about the spam.

i visit this site daily, but hate to see things go downhill because of so much spam posting, and nothing:soapbox: being done.

Can't really say that nothing is being done. I spent three and half hours and banned 255 today and deleted 746 posts today from spammers. I saw Jason was online this afternoon and looking at things. The spammers have figured out how to hack in and create new names every minute or so.

Mark and Jim have done a lot with the spammers (thank you), but Jason needs to prevent them from spambotting. I had our IT security girl at the company look at it today and she said they are using remote routing. Pretty sophistocated she said for ordinary spammers. She said you need to block the IPs.

In Oct of 2012 we had 97,000 members, now there are 137,060 and thankfully now that Jason has put a stop on membership, we won't be increasing by 400 spambots a day anymore. That's a lot of banning to do in the next two months!
