I have spent hours looking back through old posts to find as much info as I can. I would like for someone to confirm that I have everything right. The H3 that we are picking up sometime this week has the lux package and therefore has the monsoon system. I have the Pioneer AVIC-D1 to install. I was looking at getting the PAC Audio OS-2 wiring harness (non Bose) and the CM1 door chime module. I also need to get the Scosche GM1595 dash kit. Is this correct? I wasn't sure if the monsoon and bose were interchangeable when it came to the wiring harness thus requiring the OS-2 Bose Harness? Also, will I have to buy the aftermarket XM radio module from Pioneer to utilize XM, or is there a factory module that can be used? Thanks for any advice/info.

If you have on star this will work with your factory radio head. |

scosche wiring harness: GM09
scosche dash kit: GM1594 |
from other things i read on this forum, and from sosche website, i gathered that i needed the GM1595 for a double din head unit.
I also had already purchased the GM09 wiring harness. It is incorrect. Sonic Electronix had told me that I needed the GM09 so I bought it. It only has the one (1) 24-pin connector. You need a second 12-pin connector. Now I have the pac-audio os-2 non bose. I think scosche has some bad info. |
i can't believe that the gm09 didn't work. i guess there's an addition then that's missing? well... i'm looking at scosche's application guide. here's what they got:
specific kit is gm1594b doube din kit is gm1595b so there you have it. i'll let them know about the wiring harness so it can be corrected. thanks! |
thanks for the effort and the input. i will let you know when my final install is complete to make sure everything goes in right. as of now i have these items:
AVIC-D1 Pioneer XM Tuner Pac OS-2 Pac CM1 - chime module Scosche GM1595 - double din dash kit |
