Saint Nicolas and Black Pete
 

As a christian tradition over here in Belgium, every year on december 6th Saint Nicolas and his helper black Pete visit all the children to give 'em presents if they were good. Bad children are put in black Pete's duffel bag.
So, yesterday evening the holy man paid us a visit to see our kids. And, this morning when the kids woke up he brought all the toys.

OMG Black Peter is scaring the dickens out of me! I once saw an awesome figurine of BP but back then he was so expensive I couldn't afford it. However, live BP is terrifying! Glad your family had a good time though.

BP is a funny character. He plays the dumb helper, but the kids are indeed afraid, 'cause he carries the duffel bag, where he puts the bad children in

Black Pete.....over here if we had a "Black Pete", we'd be called a racist nation....wait, we already are. I bet he does scare kids saying he'll put them in his bag. Hell, my daughter is still scared of Santa, and he's white.

Great looking family frenzy. Glad You and family had a good time. It appears You have all girls just as I had. My last was married in June 2006 so I miss them even though I thought I would enjoy slowing down some. My first grandchild and only one right now is a boy and will be 3 in Feb. 2009. He is already reading, counting, and tell you all the colors in a crayon box when you hold one up.

The only thing bad about getting sons by marriage is at most all holidays the boys family come first even though my girls protest. It seems to be that way in most my friends lives who have son in laws. I made sure that with i laws we were at their homes on at least on of the year end holidays. I felt it fair even though it did not seem appriciated. My mother raised me to be a unselfish boy and man. She was always first to put herself second at holidays although I did not allow it. She went to be with The Lord 12/25/2006 on Christmas Day which was her mothers birthday. I thought that was good but, the very quick cancer battle is what set me back. ?She found out on 12/9/2006 and I had no time to prepare myself. She was allot of my life. She and I supported our family including 3 sisters from the time I was 13 till I was 20 and I married and she did also.

Sorry to think back some this time of year is rough with her gone as if kids were gone to their in laws my Mom had me over with more than an army could chose to eat. My step dad and Mom would watch all the football games with me. She actual pushed me into football when I was 6 and I played till 19 and injury ruined my college ball and scholarships withdrawn. Fool them I had full ride academically anyway so I got to say a few words to the coach about pulling out on me.

Frenzy I think you do anyway but, cherish Your girls as they seem to disappear later in life even if just a little bit.

Beautiful looking kids so they must take after Mom surely!!!

frenzy that would be cool. I think that would give them dual citzenship wouldn't? Would that make it easier to travel between countries for you and I to visit each as well as the kids? Oh both kids are blond and blue eyed I think. Cohen is but, the red eye hid your daughters eye color. Funny but, I think my son in law told me his family tree is Dutch and Scotish. Would that not be a funny coincidence.
