damn those bump stops are cloooooooose. Whats the stock bumpstop distance vs. lifted. The ride has to suffer when they're like that.

The ride has to suffer when they're like that. </div></BLOCKQUOTE> bumpstops are supposed to be in contact with the lower a arm, it is part of the suspension dynamics, they touch on the stock height also, i didn't see a difference between the stock and lifted bumpstop heights, if it doesn't have enough downward pressure on the a arm you can get a very "spongy" feeling ride |

They are wiling to even install a new kit on my truck and/ let me drive theirs to see what it should have driven like. This is/ was my daily driver and I couldn't afford to have my truck down. No truck = no work. So if I were to do it again, I would try to drive someone's lifted H3 or have an installer that has already done one with good success. The kit components are tough! They make the stock parts look very weak. Also, Rancho is backing their kit too. They do monitor from time to time on this site, so if you have questions/ concerns, send them a PM. |
Timgo, weren't you also diappointed on how much the tires stuck out or was it the fact that the rim offset was wrong? Would like to see some pics from the front of hummerlv's( looking straight at the vehicle) to see how much they stick out. I get enough crap on mine the way it is now! </div></BLOCKQUOTE> i will snap some pics later today, they do stick out some, but does not seem excessive. timgo, what size wheels did you go with, stock 16's?? remember i went with the 17's, maybe that played a part. the death wobble was most likey an alignment and or wheel balance issue, i have been up to 90 in mine on our freeway and it was a nice as stock. the wheels i have, have a backspace of 4.75 which is a little more than most, most are 4.5, i think stock is 5.0 |

If you don't mind me asking, and if you do thats ok too; what was the cost for lift and install?
