Re: Forum usage and Significance to H2 community

Yes this one was absolutely the best.

I don’t think it will ever come back unfortunately.

One the forum is outdated and based on a 1990s platform which simply is not going to be protected or have...

Re: Forum usage and Significance to H2 community

It logs me out before I can even post.

It definitely sucks, my truck is getting some brake lines replaced right now, haven’t failed just want to be safe. But I wish we had some community here still.

Forum usage and Significance to H2 community

It always blows my mind seeing this forum empty as it was once the dominant source for all things H2, I hate that new registration was shut down but obviously the forum format is older than hell now...

Re: Rear caliper slide bolt

Torx bit, I have one that works but I don’t have my truck nearby to test which one it is.

2020 Rollcall

Honestly I never expected to post on these forums again, the past year and a half I have been unable to even get on this site, every time I try to search the site the domain name appears to have been...

Re: Hendrick Cadillac Hummer diagnosis

There's always something there that isn't right, being a masochistic type, I kept going back for warranty, and I'm probably about to have them do Hummer specific work.
They replaced my driver side...

Re: In-op wipers/washers - 2003 H2

If you figure out how to resolve a rattle/noise tht only occurs at high RPM And sounds like its going to shake the entire passenger floorboard/a pillar apart, do post.

Re: BRAKES!!! Stop Argh!

I can't say this is it, but look under the dash and see if brake fluid is leaking in. Had that happen when I bought it (48k) and a few thousand later again. Both under warranty, both times brake...

Re: F/S - H2 Front License plate mount w/light $50

I may be interested but I'm a bit confused, it connects through the hitch correct?

How does it work being that the front hitch pin is verticle, or is it simply just not H2 specific?

Factory air question

I have an 03 with what I assume is the factory compressor, I bought it Jan 2011 with 48k miles, he just turned 97k a few days ago.

My air bags were replaced a few weeks after it was bought, and for...

Re: It has been fun

Drty, do you still have your truck?
I never see you post your stuff any more.

Could we possibly get some pics of those bumpers you built ;)

Re: My Old H2

Also, are those 37s?

Love the spare, although I think it might be a slightly different size than the other tires.

Re: Bose Stereo Replacement

One thing I cannot stand about aftermarket radios is the lack of Two dials, for volume and tuning.
But personal problems aside, is the factory wiring thin? Was the aftermarket wiring better quality?...

Re: Lights dim when electrics used.

Mine also dims with something as simple as windows being rolled up/down, doesn't really affect anything so I've just ignored it.

Re: A MUST HAVE in your H2

I'll put a plug in someone else's vehicle or equipment all day, but I only use patches for mine, especially when you spend >1k for tires.

Re: got a 03 helps with some mods please

37s may or may not rub, there's no telling really until you try.
Some say that 35s rub, whereas on my truck I have plenty of room with 35s

Really just watch your sway bar, if it does rub just don't...

Re: Well, I traded it in

It's funny mine would only fit in the detached garage not attached, but the detached garage door was capricious as hell, it would sometimes lift the door all the way, sometimes be 2 foot low and...

Re: Broken Steering cable nut

Have a pic?
Is there a gap where you suspect it was cut? If no gap then I probably wouldn't give it a second thought.
It can be a pain to get the pitman out, therefore I highly doubt someone would...

Re: Aftermarket mirrors- no power fold?

In what way did they crap out, if you search the forums there's a way to clean up the gearing to get them to fold again.

Re: Ye olde "key stuck in ignition" issue

Wait a minute, just relooked at picture, the blue clip has to be removed which is a secondary holder (in most cases) in addition to a primary as I wrote of above.
But the blue must be removed first,...

Re: Ye olde "key stuck in ignition" issue

I haven't done it on this particular application, but your just going to have to get surgical, find out what's clipping it in and carefully flex it away without scraping the plastic bit apart, very...
