Well, I traded it in

As the title suggests I traded the HUMMER in a couple of weeks ago. We ended up going with a 2013 VW Passat TDI. You can probably deduce we did this for gas mileage purposes. My wife was driving the...

Re: knocking noise while drive

How in the heck can a body mount cause an intermittent knock? I would get under there and shake the crap out of everything possible. If you find something loose that's most likely the culprit. Good...

Re: Anyone ever use this guy before?

I had two 2003 Suburbans that the speedos went out on. I don't remember if it was this particular guy I sent them to but it was the same process. It all went very smoothly, I think I had him put a...

I'd love to help but I can hardly post a picture much less moderate a forum. Thanks and good luck to all that do though.

Re: How much would shocks cost?

I changed out my air suspension with a kit I got that also had Bilstein shocks. The install was fairly easy and as far as the code goes there's a link on here somewhere that tells you how to get rid...

Re: Limb Riser

Not to sound ignorant but what is the purpose of the cables running from the rack to the brush guard?

Re: dropping fuel prices

Surely some kind of liberal ploy especially after a storm. When we get hit by a hurricane gas prices soar. Makes me wonder. Vote Mitt!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: remote clearing help!!

You can probably clear the previous owners settings from the DIC. The seat heater is another issue. I had a suburban that the seat heater had a mind of it's own and I chalked it up to faulty wiring....

Re: Ha! My new toy

Yes pdxrealtor, this is sure to be a deeeep money pit. If something has an aftermarket I can hardly help myself. I'm thinking 3.5" suspension lift, roll cage, line X interior, bumpers, front disks,...

Re: Rear spare tire thoughts

Unless you're an artist with fiberglass and woodwork like the guys on overhaulin I wouldn't go cutting up the inside of the truck. Most times it seems like a good idea in the minds eye but turns out...

Ha! My new toy

53881If you've read anything I've posted you probably know I gave my retirement present(H2) to my wife. I had to get something else so here it is. 1969 Ford Bronco. Can you believe that this will...

Re: New H2 Owner

Looks great! I bought mine(now my wifes) nine months ago with 70k on it and thought that was good mileage. Your's looks brand new. Keep checking Craigslist, I see those rear tire carriers on there...

Re: Where do you guys get your HUMMER service done?

$1500 OUCH! Ask around and try to find yourself an independent shop for things you don't feel comfortable working on. That seems a tad pricey for what you had fixed. Hubs are a bitch though.

Re: Rockstar lug nuts

Wheels should have come with lug nuts. Call the company you got them from and tell them to send you some. They'll usually include some gorilla locks when buy a set of wheels.

Re: Amazing

Citiboy, you'll be lucky to get 10mpg with 38's. The best I've seen is 12.7 between fill ups. That's doing the math, not trusting the DIC. We have Hummers. Why are we talking about gas mileage...

Re: Air suspension issues (or "#%$@!" again!)

I swapped to springs so no more air bag issues. It's pretty easy to do too. I don't recommend the bilstein shocks. I got them and it feels like I have sponges on all four corners.
