Small Hummer in, Trailblazer out at GM?

People don?t often think of in the same breath as ?fuel-efficiency,? but that may change somewhat, as word ?round the campfire has General Motors going ahead with a sub-H3 model for its SUV range, with an eye towards increasing miles-per-gallon.
While buyers should hardly expect a skinny-tired Prius with Hummer badges (the so-called H4 would match up against Jeep?s iconic Wrangler), the SUV is expected to be part of a larger plan at GM to
increase fuel economy numbers across the board, particularly among the automaker?s trucks. Earmarked as a 2009 model, the H4 could be built from a cut-down H3 platform, and is expected to hit the market around the time GM axes its Chevrolet TrailBlazer.
