When was this last large layoff? When in the past fifteen years have they done a layoff of salaried (non-union) personnel?
To answer your question....nope. Then again, I have fifteen years vested, plus 20 years vested with uncle sam. So, if they laid me off tomorrow, I would head for Utah, get a place in the desert, off road, and shoot my guns from my front porch.
However, i believe I will be employed until I retire in about 4 years. The salaried ranks are quite thin due to a lot of the early retirements they have offered over the past few years (never offered me one, though
)
