Default The joy of buying a used vehicle...

My H3 has 20K miles on it and the dealer (not a Hummer dealer) had only one key... and one non-functional keyless remote so I drove it down to the nearest Hummer dealer and bought a second key and remote for myself plus paying for programming the remotes... it was an expensive day. When I got home, neither worked... and I started getting a code for the tire pressure sensors (unrelated... just happened).

$o, back to the dealership we go today. They called later to tell me it appears the previous owner installed and removed an aftermarket alarm system and, in doing so, did something to the receiving antenna for the keyless remotes. Easy repair but not covered under warrantee.

The tire pressure sensor code was because the previous owner or someone (dealer?) put on new. larger tires which are rated at a different pressure than the originals. The computer needs to be recalibrated and they can't finish it before the end of the day so I'm stuck with their courtesy car for the night.

Long story short, they're going to put everything right but it'll cost me a couple of hour$ of labour. Then, with receipt in hand, I guess I have to go talk to the guy who sold me the H3 and see if he'll make good for the remote repair (as he said he would) or ??? Since he figured it was a dead battery in the remote, I suspect he's not going to want to ante up.
